BELMONT SCORCHES HIGH POINT

Nick Muszynski and Adam Kunkel scored 14 points apiece as Belmont roared to a 90-51 win over High Point in the Gotham Classic.

The Bruins never trailed in going 2-0 in the Gotham Classic and 3-1 on the season.

Muszynski (pictured) was 6-of-12 from the field in just 16 minutes of action. Nick Hopkins added 13 points for the Bruins.

Belmont took a 48-18 lead into halftime and ended the game with 16 more field goals (35-19) and eight more 3-pointers (13-5) than the Panthers.

High Point was led by John-Michael Wright and his 11 points.

The Gotham Classic resumes Wednesday with Boston College hosting Eastern Washington and High Point at Saint Louis.
