Cardinals Win Gotham Classic Showcase

Quentin Snider scored 19 points and handed out five assists as Louisville downed Memphis, 81-72, in the Showcase Game of the Houzz Gotham Classic presented by TicketIQ at Madison Square Garden.

Snider, who was named the game’s Most Outstanding Player, hit 6-of-10 of his shots from the field, including 3-of-4 from three, as well as all four of his free throws to lead the Cardinals to the victory.

V.J. King tallied 17 points, Deng Adel netted 15 points, and Ray Spalding had 12 points and nine rebounds. Anas Mahmoud recorded seven of Louisville’s 14 blocked shots.

Memphis was paced by Jeremiah Martin and his 26 points and nine rebounds. Kyvon Davenport registered 12 points and seven rebounds.

The Houzz Gotham Classic presented by TicketIQ resumes on Sunday when Bryant closes out its tournament schedule with a home game against Siena. The Gotham Classic concludes on Wednesday when Louisville hosts Albany and Memphis is home to Siena.
