Radford Downs UIC In Gotham Classic

Carlik Jones posted his second career double-double to lead the Radford to an 88-78 victory against UIC in the Gotham Classic.

The game didn’t conclude until after 11:00pm, but the late night didn’t seem to effect Jones (pictured, credit: Mid-Major Madness), who set career highs in points (24) and assists (10). The Cincinnati, Ohio, native went 9-of-18 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the free throw line while adding four steals.

Donald Hicks went for 16 points, Travis Fields Jr. contributed 15 points, and Caleb Tanner also entered double-digit scoring territory with 11 points for the Highlanders.

Tarkus Freguson led the Flames with 22 points while Marcus Ottey tallied 18 points. Godwin Boahen and Michael Diggins each scored 11 points.

The Gotham Classic continues on Saturday when Duquesne hosts William & Mary.
